FIELD: medical equipment, applicable in public health establishments at surgical operations.
SUBSTANCE: the bipolar electro thumb forceps has a body with two branches rigidly fastened in it and electrically insulated from each other, each of them is fastened to an end piece wholly made of metal with a high thermal conductivity. On the side of attachment of the end piece the branches have a hole and a slot, and on the side of the branch the end pieces have a stiffening rib and a hole aligned with the branch hole. A rivet-shaped component is installed in the holes of the end piece and branch. The stiffening rib is positioned and closed up in the branch slot, and the branch and the end piece are additionally soldered to each other on the adjacent surfaces.
EFFECT: improved antiscorching properties of the electro thumb instrument due to the change of the current growth nature in the branch circuit and prevention of sudden changes of power fed to the biologic tissue.
