SUBSTANCE: electrosurgical instrument for supplying electromagnetic energy to biological tissue comprises an active tip comprising an electroconductive protective housing mounted on its lower side. Housing comprises a convex lower surface with smooth contours and is formed in the form of a shaped part of an electroconductive biocompatible material, having a low coefficient of friction with biological tissue (for example, stainless steel), which performs a double function of (i) physical protection of tissue, which is located under the active tip and (ii) providing an electrical connection between the coaxial feed line and the active tip.
EFFECT: disclosed is an electrosurgical device for supplying radio-frequency energy and/or microwave energy to biological tissue.
