SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to a surgical instrument for the electrosurgical monopolar or bipolar application of current to biological tissue, in particular a sealing instrument. Electrosurgical instrument comprising a branch comprises an electrode plate defined by a first edge contour and an electrode support defined by a second edge contour. There is a seam between the electrode plate and the electrode holder, the neck of which being placed between the boundary contours, and the electrode plate and the electrode support are monolithically connected via a plurality of webs.
EFFECT: invention provides an improved surgical instrument with improved branches for open-surgical, laparoscopic and endoscopic use.
