FIELD: transport engineering; locomotives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed torsional spring of locomotive contains hollow rod 5 arranged in bearing supports 7, 8 on bogie 9 and level 1 engaging with locomotive body 3. Additional spring-loaded rod 11 fitted by splines in rod engages by end with arc-shaped surfaces of guide 15 secured on locomotive body and providing automatic change of torsional rigidity of torsion bar in process of operation.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of tensional springs of locomotives and provision of smooth running of locomotive.
