FIELD: chemical industry; methods of production of phosgene from diphosgene and-or triphosgene.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of the chemical technology of production of phosgene. The method provides for the catalytic decomposition of diphosgene and-or triphosgene in the medium of the inert high-temperature dissolvent at the temperature of 80-150°C at the presence of the organic nitric chemical compound: the heterocyclic compound with the nitrogen tertiary atom and one or two rings. At the decomposition of the diphosgene and-or triphosgene additionally use 0.001-5 mass % of the carbonic catalytic agent. The additional decomposition of the diphosgene entrained by phosgene is conducted in the gaseous phase using the carbonic catalytic agent. As the heterocyclic compound with the nitrogen tertiary atom and one or two rings use the pyridine, quinoline and their derivatives. As the carbonic catalytic agent they use smut, blacklead, active charcoal or carbon fiber. The invention allows safely to produce the phosgene without the diphosgene impurity.
EFFECT: the invention ensures the safe production of the phosgene without the diphosgene impurity.
