FIELD: technology for applying cover onto metallic blanks.
SUBSTANCE: device is used for applying cover to continuously cast metallic blanks 1, in particular steel stripe, by immersion into melt, in which continuously cast metallic blank 1 is at least partially vertically let through reservoir 3 filled with melted metal 2 and is sent at least through one roller 4 mounted on supports. For increasing lifetime of support of rollers, roller 4 or at least its axis 5 passes through side walls 6 of reservoir 3 and aforementioned roller is mounted on supports outside the reservoir 3. In the zone of side wall 6 of reservoir 3, packing means 7 are located for sealing material 2 of cover, represented by at least one electromagnetic inducer, while length 8 of roller 4 or axis 5 of roller positioned in zone of side wall 6 of reservoir 3 has shelf 9 made in form of curvature.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
