FIELD: systems for applying coatings on metallic blanks by dipping them to melt.

SUBSTANCE: in apparatus metallic blank 1 is dipped into melt where it passes vertically through reservoir 3 filled with melt metal 2 of coating and through guiding duct 4 arranged in front of it. In zone of guiding duct 4 electromagnetic inductor 5 is arranged. In order to hold metal 2 of coating in reservoir 3 by means of electromagnetic closing field, said inductor forms in metal 2 of coating induction currents interacting with electromagnetic closing field for generating electromagnetic force. Inductor 5, 5a, 5b is connected with electric power supply unit 6 for supplying to inductor alternating current whose frequency f is no less than 500 Hz. Unit 6 supplies to inductor 5 single-phase AC for creating inductor of small construction height not causing intensive heating of continuous metallic strip. Apparatus includes guiding unit for passing continuous metallic blank 1 along guiding duct 4; said unit includes at least two correction windings 8b for controlling position of continuous metallic blank 1 in guiding duct 4 in direction N normal to blank surfaces.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of applying high-quality coating.
