FIELD: electrochemistry, namely designs of electrolyzers for producing hydrogen and oxygen by electrolysis of electrolyte solutions in centrifugal field, possibly for creating hybrid type, for example gasoline-hydrogen engines.
SUBSTANCE: plant includes electrolyzer mounted with possibility of rotation and having hollow housing in which electrodes are arranged; system for pumping electrolyte having pump, heat exchanger, ultrasound generator, ducts for supplying electrolyte, for pumping and discharging liquid products of electrolysis; duct for removing gaseous product of electrolysis provided at its inlet with apparatus preventing penetration of electrolyte to said duct. Electrodes are made of porous metal or at least of two layers of metallic gauze laid in permeable dielectric. Electrodes are arranged in detachable unit made of chemically resistant permeable plastics, mounted in axle and secured to inner surface of hollow housing of electrolyzer.
EFFECT: improved operational efficiency, lowered power consumption and simplified design of plant.
