FIELD: railway transport: permanent way.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of removal of defective section of continuous welded rail length and restoration of its integrity by welding comes to the following: places of saw cuts in rail length are marked out and clamping forces within the limits of section of rail length to be removed are eliminated, coupling of rail length section to be removed with rail base is reduced, nuts of clamp bolts are turned off and clamps are removed on section of bending length adjoining section of length with reduced coupling with rail base, and rail sliders are installed. Then rail is saw cut in place of location of one of weld joints. Clamping forces in section of rail length to be removed created by deflection of bent section are eliminated, place of second saw cut is marked, distance between saw cuts of rail length are calculated and cut out section of rail length is removed. Rail insert is prepared preliminarily to be fitted into rail length break and is welded to rail length, and temperature conditions of rail length of continuous welded rail is restored adjusting and eliminating preliminarily created deflection, and connection of rail length with rail base is restored.
EFFECT: reduced labor input and summary duration of delay periods for repair of permanent way owing to carrying out all operation simultaneously.
