FIELD: railway transport; permanent ways. SUBSTANCE: rail length and equalizing rails adjoining rail length are placed on base. Newly laid equalizing rails are fastened to base and to adjoining sections of track, and beginning of length is rigidly connected with equalizing rail. Clearance ΔLmax is set between end of length and adjoining equalizing rail. Longitudinal tensile force Nmax is applied to end of rail length having placed movable loads P1 and P2 on both adjoining rails, tensile force being directed towards clearance ΔLmax. Movable load P3 is placed in middle of rail length. Then longitudinal force is removed to form clearance ΔLdes. End of length is connected to base and load P4 is placed on length. Length is connected to base after elongation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of laying of rail sections. 8 dwg
