FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method of replacing a buffer rail of a continuous welded rail track in case of end clamping consists in releasing the buffer rail from the ties with the base and withdrawing it. Bypass bridges are preliminarily installed between the rails and attached with clamps to rail feet. Then the intermediate terminal and bolt fastening is completely disassembled, and the nuts of the terminal bolts are loosened. The rail is humped up, the pad with an insulating spacer on the butt-sleeper is removed, a plate-bearer is mounted under the rail foot, a jack is lowered and removed. Then the joint rail fastening is disassembled, a device for rail replacing is installed and centered, then intermediate terminal and bolt rail fastenings are disassembled, the rail is humped up, and the pads are taken out. The end of the rail to be removed is put outwardly in relation to the rail track. On the second rail joint, a joint rail fastening is disassembled, a buffer rail is removed, a replacing rail is laid, fastened, and the bypass transverse bridges are removed. In another implementation version of the claimed method, the RCR fastening without pads is used as a fastening.
