SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agents used in treatment of parodontium. Composition comprises a therapeutic agent in biocompatible polymeric material. Therapeutic agent can be dissolved in water and alcohol and biocompatible material represents liquid methacrylate copolymer chosen from EUDRAGIT RL or EUDRAGIT RS or their mixtures. Polymers are used in liquid form in alcoholic solution (preferably, about 96%) or in aqueous-alcoholic solution (preferably, 20:80 by mas./mas.). After applying a polymer on surface alcohol is evaporated and polymer forms a polymer film on this surface. In contact of water presenting n mouth cavity with the material a therapeutic agent is released. Based on the corresponding selection of the ratio of two polymeric materials, i. e. EUDRAGIT RS and RL the precise release rate can be obtained. Hydrophilic properties of the composition change in regulation of the ratio RS/RL correspondently. In particular, in increasing the content RL the release rate of therapeutic agent increases. The composition provides slow release of therapeutic agent and mechanical protection of wounds and barrier against microorganisms.
