FIELD: drilling and blasting operations in hard rocks, applicable in various branches of industry using blasting operations in hard rocks.

SUBSTANCE: the locking tamping of blast-holes or wells has a cylinder with an axial cavity having tapered expansions. The tapered expansions are made, on both ends of the cylinder, and at least three slots are made in each of them. Tapered plugs interconnected by a tie-rod are inserted in the tapered expansions. The tie-rod is fastened in the lower tapered plug, it freely passes through the axial duct of the upper tapered plug, the cylinder is provided with a lateral groove connecting the slots in the tapered expansions of the axial cavity.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of blast crushing of rocks due to a complete locking of the detonation products in the charge cavity up to the moment of complete destruction of the surrounding rock.
