FIELD: intensifying optical signals using transversely pumped light beams.

SUBSTANCE: proposed intensifier has device substrate, waveguide built in device substrate, and plurality of lasers. Plurality of lasers are distributed on common substrate. They are connected to device substrate surface; waveguide is disposed under lasers. Method for intensifying optical signal includes direction of the latter over waveguide built in device substrate; laser light beams are disposed on substrate transversely to first direction of propagation and plurality of light beams are reflected back to waveguide upon passage through the latter. Light signal intensifier manufacturing process includes attachment of plurality of light sources to device semiconductor substrate surface. Waveguide is built in substrate. Light sources direct their beams transversely to waveguide. Mentioned waveguide is disposed under light source.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of device.
