FIELD: optical signal amplifiers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed optical amplifier has substrate, optical multiplexer, sources of pumping light beams of different wavelengths, amplifying waveguide, and signal waveguide. Optical multiplexer is built in substrate. Light beam sources are coupled with optical multiplexer. Amplifying waveguide is built in doping part of substrate and coupled with optical multiplexer. Signal waveguide is built in device substrate and coupled with amplifying waveguide. Signal waveguide and optical multiplexer are weakly intercoupled. Pumping light beam sources generate light beams centered about basic wavelength.

EFFECT: reduced dissipation, enhanced reliability of device.
