FIELD: hot rolling processes and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: at first step cast billet is subjected to rolling in rolling mill having finish line. At second step heat treatment is realized for preventing corrosion hazard, namely inter-crystallite corrosion caused by separation of chrome carbides. In order to set predetermined final temperature of rolling, temperature before finish line is set more than 1150°C, preferably more than 1200°C. Heating is realized at least by two stages. Heat treatment is realized after heating for rolling. Plant for performing the method includes unit for preheating; unit for intensified heating till predetermined temperature of cast billet before finish rolling line and unit for heat treatment after heating for rolling.
EFFECT: possibility of saving energy and shortening time at producing hot rolled products of austenite stainless steels.
