FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is implemented at unit combining continuous casting and rolling at the step that follow. a) furnacing the steel of the following chemical composition, in wt %: Si - 2-7, C - 0.01-0.1, Mn<0.3, Cu - 0.1-0.7, Sn<0.2, S<0.05, Al<0.09, Cr<0.3, N<0.02, P<0.1, Fe and unavoidable impurities making the rest b) furnacing the 25-150 mm-thick billet at continuous casting plant. c) strip rolling at 4 passes directly after casting. Note here that at least in one pass reduction degree exceeds 30% while total reduction of all passes exceeds 50%. d) strip heating to final temperature to 1050-1250°C, preferably to 1100-1180°C. e) finish strip rolling at second rolling mill. f) strip cooling and coiling.
EFFECT: higher magnetic properties and strip quality.
