FIELD: railway transports, brake systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed automatic regulator consists of control part and pressure relay. Control part contains housing with fitted-in damping spring-loaded piston on rod of which lock is secured. Pressure relay contains housing accommodating lever, spring-loaded lower and upper pistons, hinge-connected by shanks with said lever, and spring-loaded feed valve. Two independent valves are installed in pressure relay, namely, feed single-plane valve with boss direct spring separating space of air distributor from brake cylinder and atmospheric valve separating space of brake cylinder from atmosphere to release compressed air from brake cylinder into atmosphere.

EFFECT: improved reliability of air relay at application of brakes and increased response at release of brake of rail car.
