FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elements of braking equipment of railway transport, which are intended for control of compressed air pressure in braking cylinder of freight car depending on its load. Automatic regulator of cargo braking modes consists of measuring part and pressure relay. Measuring part contains a spring-loaded damper piston, on the rod of which a contact plate is installed. Pressure relay is pneumatically connected to the brake cylinder and the air distributor and contains a movable piston, on the side of the shank of which a spring-loaded feed valve is installed, a diaphragm and a spring-loaded working element installed in a through hole of the movable piston. In the end part of the working element there is a threaded hole in which an adjusting screw is installed, the position of which is adjusted by means of a corresponding tool through a hole provided in the pressure switch housing.

EFFECT: simplified adjustment of automatic regulator of cargo braking modes, higher reliability and of automatic regulator adjusting unit.
