FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring initial intraocular pressure and dynamic changes after giving glyceroascorbate to the patient. Neuroretinal border volume and mean thickness of retinal nerve fibers are determined with retinotomographic method. Pressure corresponding to maximum value of mentioned parameters is calculated under condition of gradual dynamical increase of the parameters under study and then their reduction to the initial level. The parameters keeping stable values during the study or falling relative to the initial level, the initial intraocular pressure is considered to be tolerant for the patient.
EFFECT: high accuracy and no errors in determining tolerant intraocular pressure.
