FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and covers specific pressure determination in patients suffering from open-angle glaucoma. Corneal hysteresis (CH) and intraocular pressure (IOP) are evaluated by Goldman's tonometry. If the CH is 8 mm hg and lower, IOP is reduced with drug therapy to ensure the CHs average for healthy population. The IOP relevant to this CH is considered to be specific.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to choose an adequate glaucoma therapy considering the specific pressure.
