FIELD: machine engineering, possibly manufacture of diamond-abrasive intermittent end tool for grinding and polishing hard-to-grind metals and alloys having trend to occurring burnings and micro-cracking.
SUBSTANCE: tool is mounted in spindle with central lengthwise opening and it has body with radial T-shaped grooves on its ends. Cleats are mounted with possibility of radial motion in said grooves of body. Plates for mounting diamond-abrasive segments are rigidly secured to said cleats having inner end inclined by acute angle α to cross plane of cleat. Tension springs are arranged in grooves of body and they are secured to outer ends of cleats and in body for shifting cleats to center of tool. In central lengthwise opening of spindle wave guide is arranged whose outer surface is inclined by acute angle α to its lengthwise axis engages with inner ends of cleats. Mechanism for pulse loading of diamond-abrasive segments is in the form hydraulic pulse generator whose striker is mounted with possibility of percussion action upon wave-guide. Said segments perform low frequency axial oscillations regardless of revolution number of tool.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of working, intensified grinding process, enlarged manufacturing possibilities.
