FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely electrolytic production of aluminum from alumina, possibly in aluminum cells with roasted anodes for enhancing quality of controlling system for automatic alumina supply.
SUBSTANCE: method for controlling aluminum cell with roasted anodes comprises steps of measuring current values of electric current; comparing said values with initial predetermined electric current values and sustaining electric current value in predetermined range due to regulating quantity of alumina laded to aluminum cell. Method is realized at detecting zone of cell with decreased concentration of alumina on base of results of measuring current values of electric current or increase of inverse emf. value in all anodes separately one from other. After detecting such zone control signal is fed to respective feeder for equalizing concentration of alumina in said zone in predetermined range.
EFFECT: improved technological and economical factors of aluminum production process.
