FIELD: color and ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: well furnace comprises zones for heating, roasting, and cooling, burners mounted in the roasting zone over periphery in two rows, and the mechanisms for charging and discharging. The volumes of the zones for heating, roasting, and cooling are the same, and the ratio of the height of the furnace well to its diameter ranges from 3.8 to 4.0. The burners are arranged over periphery at the inlet and the outlet of the roasting zone. The axes of the burners are shifted one with respect to the other by 70-75°.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and prolonged service life.
