FIELD: mining industry and construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of granulated fired calcium oxide in shaft furnace as key product of non-explosive destroying compositions and can be used in mining and construction industry fields for mineral product breaking, destroying hard objects, and roadheading. Production of granulated fired calcium oxide comprises crushing of carbonate rocks, charging into shaft furnace, firing, cooling in dense bed in countercurrent to fuel combustion products and air, feeding of gas fuel and a part of total air intake to two levels of fuel-combustion burners, while the rest of air is supplied from below the furnace. Specifically, carbonate rock is crushed to fraction 10-12 mm, firing is effected for 5-6 h at 1299-1250°C until density 2.7-3.1 g/cm3 is achieved, air is supplied to two levels of fuel-combustion burners in amount of 80-85% based on total consumption and 15-20% from below.
EFFECT: improved quality of granulated product, reduced process duration and specific consumption of fuel.
