FIELD: wood working.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises submerging wood into a hydrophobic liquid inside the pressure-tight drying chamber and heating the wood by liquid and high or superhigh frequency currents to provide a specified value of humidity. The specific power of the current and liquid heating is 1-25kW/m3 and 2-35 kW/m3, respectively. The intensity of the liquid heating should provide the temperature of the hydrophobic liquid to be at a level of ±30°C with respect to the wood temperature. The finishing stabilization of the humidity is carried out at a temperature form 100 to 140°C. The wood could be treated by vacuum simultaneously with the liquid and current heating. The temperature of the hydrophobic liquid can reach 32.5-80°C, and the wood is cooled by blowing in vacuum at a residual pressure of no less than 0.1 of the atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: reduced time and enhanced quality of drying.
