FIELD: direction finding, applicable for direction finding and measurement of elevation angles both in the conditions of a double-beam signal, and at reception of a single-beam signal.

SUBSTANCE: the method for direction finding with regard to correlation interactions between beams consists in reception of a signal with the aid of a aerial systems, frequency conversion and amplification of signals from each vibrator with the aid of a multi-channel receiver, transduction of analogue signals in each channel to a digital form with the aid of a multichannel analogue-to-digital converter, determination of the amplitude and of the signal in each channel, formation of the directional pattern common for the two beams with regard to the correlation coefficient between the beams, scanning by the directional patter in space of azimuths α12 and elevation angles β12 within the preset intervals and with the preset pitch, and determination of the azimuth and elevation angle of each beam according to the maximum of the common directional pattern.

EFFECT: developed method for separate measurement of the azimuth and elevation angle for each beam at a reception of a double-beam signal excluding the interference errors.
