FIELD: medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has handle having return spring and working part. The working part has elongated tube and clamp-shaping mechanism placed on the distal end. The clamp-shaping mechanism has stencil and means for holding clamp and movable protection screen arranged coaxially outside of the clamp. Tie-rod is coaxially located in the working part. The stencil is bushing having its outer diameter not less than clamp back length and four through notches for operating with clamps. The notches are placed in the same longitudinal plane. The plane passes through axial line of the elongated tube and handle levers. The first two clamp notches are not deeper than clamp back thickness. They are arranged diametrically and symmetrically with respect to axial line on bushing end. The other two clamp notches are on the internal bushing surface in parallel to the axial line. The means for holding clamp is designed as collet fixed on movable tie-rod end coaxially inside the bushing. It has two elastic pedicles provided with two through notches. The notches are available on adjacent internal surfaces symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal plane and orthogonally relative to the axial line. Bushing body has two beveled surfaces. The beveled surfaces are symmetrically arranged at an angle to the longitudinal plane.

EFFECT: simplified design of multiple-use single-clamp surgical stapler.
