FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely preparation of raw materials for alloying steel with manganese, possibly production of steel by direct alloying method.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of disintegrating components of charge, forming center at adding binder of mixture of oxide manganese containing and aluminum containing materials taken with relation exceeding by 15 - 20 % stoichiometrically needed aluminum content for complete reduction of manganese; forming around pellet center envelope of flux mixture containing precalcined lime, dolomitized lime, bauxite, cryolite, alcohol residues; realizing heat treatment and after such process applying onto pellets layer of mixture of melt glass and slaked lime at temperature 90 - 100° C. It is rationally to use as aluminum-containing material mixture of finely-divided aluminum and alumina taken at relation ( 8 - 10) : (3 - 4) or siftings of aluminum-magnesium dispersed powder containing 50% of aluminum and 50% of magnesium.
EFFECT: possibility for providing high desulfurization degree of melt metal at keeping increased factors of manganese extraction.
