SUBSTANCE: method involves counting the number of poorly cleaned teeth and examining the whole dental row. Thin coating being detected on a dental surface is assessed with 1 point. Index value is equal to the number of points. The index being equal to zero, oral cavity hygiene is considered to be good. The value being equal to 1-6, oral cavity hygiene is considered to be satisfactory. The value being equal to 7-12, oral cavity hygiene is considered to be unsatisfactory. The value being equal to 13 and higher, oral cavity hygiene is considered to be in critical situation.
EFFECT: high accuracy of prognosis.
