FIELD: composition of polymer concrete mixes on base of unsaturated polyester resins and solid fillers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed composite material is used for manufacture of thin-walled facing panels whose thickness does not exceed 10 mm. Proposed polymer concrete mix contains unsaturated polyester resin used as binder (15-25 mass-%), benzoyl peroxide used as polymerization accelerating agent (2.0 mass-%) and mineral filler which includes marble (10-35 mass-%); micro-particles of mineral filler are equal to 60±12 mcm; compound contains additionally aluminum hydroxide used as inorganic filler (45-55 mass-%); finely cut glass fiber used as reinforcing material (5-10 mass-%); average diameter of this fiber is equal to 13±1 mcm at average length of 14±1 mcm; technological additives (5-10 mass-%) in form of pigments and titanium dioxide.
EFFECT: reduced power requirements and time required for manufacture; enhanced physico-mechanical and thermo-physical characteristics.
