FIELD: robotics, namely cleaning robots.

SUBSTANCE: method for moving cleaning robot comprises one or more steps for setting in order to restrict space subjected to cleaning and divide said space by one or more cells. One or more cleaning steps related to respective cells provide mutually normal directions of robot movements for cleaning respective cells. In some of cleaned cells one or more rotation steps are realized after termination of respective cleaning steps or respective setting steps. Cleaning robot may move to next cell to be cleaned in such a way that to clean restricted space along helix one cell after another.

EFFECT: lowered number of motion operations of cleaning robot due to elimination of excess movements, improved efficiency of cleaning space.
