METHOD OF GENERATION OF THE POWERFUL ULTRASONIC IMPULSES AND THE DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B06B1/00

Abstract RU 2308325 C1

FIELD: radio industry; methods and devices for generation of the powerful ultrasonic impulses.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the ultrasonic equipment of the non-destructive control, materials processing and the underwater communication. The technical result of the invention is the increased efficiency at generation of the powerful ultrasonic impulses. The method is based on the irradiation by the pulsed laser of the optical generating medium and usage of the ultrasonic impulses arising at the expense of its thermal expansion. At that alternately with the pulsed laser, the medium is irradiated with the continuous laser radiation initiating its heating, and the pulsing irradiation is exercised at the moment of reaching by the generating medium of the point of the temperature with the maximum coefficient of the thermal expansion. The device for the method implementation contains the pulsed laser, the focalizing optical system, the generating medium and the medium transmitting the ultrasound. At that the vessel with the generating and transmitting mediums is partitioned by the thin partition, and to the section with the generating medium the continuous laser beam is directed. The wave resistance of the both mediums for the elastic vibrations should extremely close.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased efficiency at generation of the powerful ultrasonic impulses.
