FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves showing optotypes to examinee and determining rupture direction in Landoldt ring. The examination is carried out in two stages. First, vision acuity is investigated under standard illumination conditions. Then, table examination is carried out with small step equal to 0.05 reducing illumination intensity from maximum of 400 Lux to minimum of 50 Lux. Received function δ increment value showing difference of vision acuity under maximum and minimum illumination intensity is compared to reference normal age-specific value, and vision acuity is estimated.

EFFECT: analyzed fine structure of transformed pulse signal; simplified and accelerated process in setting diagnosis; high accuracy of express diagnosis.
