FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with removing chalazion surgically; the bed developed should be filled in with photosensitizing gel (PS gel) that contains 0.1% PS of chlorine group. After 10-15 min exposure gel residues should be removed to irradiate the bed with laser radiation with fields at wave length that corresponds to the maximum of PS absorption of light radiation, at overlapping the adjacent fields for 5% the area, at energy density of about 80-100 J/sq. cm. The innovation enables to prevent the relapses of chalazion and infectious process in post-surgical period, moreover, it avoids coarse cicatrisation in operational area.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
