FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser equipment. Pulse fibre generator comprises unidirectional annular waveguide configured to emit a series of pulses. Annular waveguide comprises a plurality of fibre amplifiers, fibre-based chirping components connected to corresponding outputs of first and second fibre amplifiers, and a plurality of spectral filters connected to respective chirping components. Filters are characterized by the presence of corresponding spectral transmission bands centred around different central wavelengths to allow passage of light along the annular resonator in response to nonlinear processes created in the ring resonator. Pulse generator operates at preliminary stage, at which it converts pitch to signal, and at steady-state stage, at which it emits a series of pulses through output coupler at most once in one double-pass signal passage.
EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling possibility of fibre ring laser design simplification.
