METHOD FOR LAPAROSCOPIC GASTRIC BINDING Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B17/94

Abstract RU 2309697 C1

FIELD: medicine, abdominal surgery.

SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to dissect left esophago-diaphragmatic and gastro-hepatic ligaments in their avascular part, apply the bandage with regulated lumen onto proximal gastric department, form minor ventricle upon a calibrating probe. In cases that require surgical therapy one should introduce a gastric probe through esophagus into the stomach, then dissect ligaments and isolate abdominal department of esophagus, diaphragmatic pedicles and gastric hernial part which should be descended into abdominal cavity to fulfill posterior crurorhaphia upon a gastric probe, apply the bandage, on forming a minor ventricle it is necessary to suture anterior and posterior wall of the stomach located below the bandage with the walls of the minor ventricle being above the bandage along the whole perimeter of the stomach except the area of bandage fastening, after that the walls of small ventricle should be fixed towards left and right diaphragmatic pedicles. The innovation enables to shorten the terms of disability in such patients, prevent translocation of stomach and introduced bandage into mediastinum and exclude technical difficulties in implementing the operation under conditions of adhesion process in abdominal cavity.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
