FIELD: heat treatment processes and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes spacing insert having inner and outer surfaces; unit for axially compressing block of piston rings; unit for radially deforming block of piston rings along axis "lock - back"; bearing members. Unit for axial compression of piston ring block is in the form of stationary and movable flanges mutually joined by means of cylindrical threaded rod and nut. Unit for radial deformation of piston ring block along said axis includes two boundary guiding plates and one middle guiding plate having bolts mounted into said plates. Bearing members have outer and inner surfaces and they are rigidly joined with said guiding plates.
EFFECT: possibility for making piston rings with different radial pressure.
