FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal treatment of piston rings in a packet. The device comprises a packet of rings 1 with a separating insert 2, a facility of axial compression, comprising the upper 3 and lower 4 flanges joined with supports 5 and 6, rigidly installed on the lower flange 4, and one movable support 7, and also a facility of radial deformation, comprising the same supports 5, 6 and 7, an adjustment bolt 21, installed in a threaded hole 22 of a vertical stand 23, rigidly fixed on a radial ledge 24, a plate 25. For mutual connection of the lower flange 4 with the plate 25 in process of radial deformation of the rings packet 1, the lower flange 4 has a hole 30, and the plate 25 - a cylindrical ledge 31, which enters into the hole 30. To ensure radial deformation, the support 7 is moved by means of the adjustment bolt 21, and simultaneously the packet of rings 1 is compressed between supports 5, 6 and 7 for required deformation.
EFFECT: creation of a proposed device design with a packet of rings, having optimal epure of radial pressures, which provides for preservation of packet deformation within thermal treatment period.
