ENDLESS ROLLING METHOD OF STEEL BILLET PRODUCED AT CASTING SPEED OF BILLET AND HAVING CROSS SECTION IN THE FORM OF THIN SLAB AND CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B21B1/46 

FIELD: method and machine for continuous casting used for endless rolling of metallic billet then subjected to cooling, straightening and cross cutting and after leveling its temperature fed to first rolling stand.

SUBSTANCE: method provides possibility for varying rolling conditions without significant changes of generally used continuous casting machines due to sustaining cast slab in vertical position in guide whose length is matched with casting speed. Then slab is subjected to straightening and bending in its one or several zones. Before cross cutting of slab in the form of loop held from downwards it is directed to straightening-pulling apparatus spaced from it approximately by length of said loop. In continuous casting machine there is free space between bending-pulling and straightening-pulling apparatuses; said free space extends from zero level downwards for placing in it roller section mounted with possibility of rising-descending and providing maximum length of billet loop in its lower position.

EFFECT: possibility for varying rolling process conditions without changing continuous casting machines.
