FIELD: hydraulic equipment and mining, particularly to create watertight diaphragms and to develop placer mineral deposits.
SUBSTANCE: method involves erecting water-retaining earth-fill dam and treating wet dam slope with water-soluble powder polymeric material. Before polymer application geotextile material layer is laid on the slope. After polymer application water is sprayed on the slope and slope is covered with earth layer treated with water-soluble powder polymeric material at rate of 0.5-2.0 kg/m3. Then the slope is alternately treated with aqueous sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (NA-CMC) and ferric chloride (FeCl3), which are taken with 0.5-2.0% concentration and at 5-10 l/m2 rate. The geotextile material is needle-punched non-woven fabric produced of synthetic fibers having 100-150 kg/m3 volumetric density.
EFFECT: increased water-tightness.
