SUBSTANCE: proposed filter for cleaning exhaust gases formed in operation of internal combustion engine is made of at least leadt one strip-like filtering element with length L measured in longitudinal direction and width B measured in cross direction. Filtering element is made at least partially from material penetrable for fluid medium and characterized by its thickness D and provided with at least one metal section increasing rigidity in one separate zone characterized by its width VB and length VL. Width VB of strengthening section is less than width B of filtering element and/or length VL of strengthening section is less than length L of filtering element. Provision of strengthening section in filtering element 1 provides its mechanical stabilization. Nondetachable connection of filtering element with adjacent filtering elements in filter can be on strengthening section by metal layers.
EFFECT: improved cleaning of exhaust gases.
