METHOD FOR ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTICS OF THE RELAPSES OF SOFT-TISSUE SARCOMAS AND FIBROTIC ALTERATIONS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2311129 C2

FIELD: medicine, oncology.

SUBSTANCE: in real scale of time it is necessary to carry out standard ultrasound trial in B-mode to study the following parameters: form, echogeneity, structure, contours, presence of inclusions. Then in the mode of chromatic Doppler coding by the rate and energetic dopplerography by the energy of the flow one should evaluate the following signs: the presence of own vessels in tumor massive, distribution of vessels in the plane of acoustic section, the character of their division. Additionally, one should determine the degree of tumor vascularization according to the scale expressed in points: 1 point - inconsiderable registered intra-tumor circulation - visualization of 1-2 vessels in two mutually perpendicular projections; 2 points - moderate registered intra-tumor circulation - distinct detection of 3-5 chromatic points and lines of vessels in different departments of tumor knot; 3 points - pronounced registered intra-tumor circulation - intensive coloring of vessels along the whole scanning area at distinct visualization of above 5 separate branches. At detecting, as a result of the trial carried out, a volumetric neoplasm of decreased echogeneity with indistinct contours at uneven or radiating surface, of unsteadily heterogeneous structure that contains echogenic inclusions, at the presence of own vessels, at vascularization degree being 3 points, of mixed spectrum, located predominantly in peripheral departments of the tumor one should diagnose the relapse of soft-tissue sarcoma. At detecting the part of increased echogeneity at distinct contours, smoothed, steadily heterogeneous structure, at distinct differentiation of separate thickened fibrotic septa and heterogeneous inclusions, at vascularization degree being 1-2 points, steady distribution of vessels in the plane of acoustic section that have linear direction and dichotomic character of division one should diagnose fibrotic alterations. The innovation enables to detect the relapses of soft-tissue sarcomas after combined therapy.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of detection.
