FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: charge comprises, wt.-%: pitch unroasted coke of fraction ˜500 mcm as a carbon filling agent, 72-78, and mean-temperature coal pitch as a carbon-containing binding agent, 22-28. Crystallizers prepared from the charge have density below 1.85 g/cm3, compression strength - below 760 kgf/cm2 and opened porosity - 8.5%, not above. Invention can be used in making crystallizers used in continuous pouring nonferrous metals and alloys.
EFFECT: improved and valuable technical indices of crystallizer.
