FIELD: plastic articles.
SUBSTANCE: article is made as blank or vessel of polyester plastic, preferably of polyethylene terephthalate and comprises covering including at least one layer of thermoplastic material with good gas-barrier properties applied directly on at least one surface thereof. In accordance with one variant the blanks are injection-molded and coated with barrier covering just after molding operation. The blanks are left on mold part during rapid article cooling. The articles are shaped as blanks with at least one barrier layer and as vessels injection-molded of the blanks. The vessels may be used for beverage storage. Barrier materials have lesser oxygen and carbon dioxide permeability in comparison with that made of polyethylene terephthalate and main physical properties close to that of polyethylene terephthalate. The barrier covering includes poly(hydroxy amine ethers). One layer includes thermoplastic phenoxy type.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
