FIELD: feeding of domestic animals.

SUBSTANCE: the suggested fodder composition includes a plant or a plant extract out of Medicago Sativa seeds, leaves of different Capsicum species, leaves or tubers of Cyperus, tubers of Iris pallida or the roots of different Coleus species and their mixtures at the quantity of about 0.03-0.3 g dried plants/g dry fodder and/or probiotics ranged 0.1-0.5% fodder's weight and/or probiotic microorganisms ranged 0.5-6% fodder weight and/or long-chain fatty acids. The method for obtaining the present composition deals with preparing the mixture, steeping, steaming and gelatinization, pressing through a shaping head, slicing, drying at 110°C for 20 min and cooling. The method for preventing obesity deals with feeding the above-mentioned composition for animals. It enables to achieve increased prevention of obesity in domestic animals.
