FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of metal item along vertical through capacity that contains melt, and through guiding channel installed upstream capacity, and in the field of guiding channel electromagnet field is created with the help of two inductors for retention of coating metal in capacity. Stabilising of item position in the middle of guiding channel is carried out by means of additional coils that are installed on both sides of the item, and closed circuit of regulation with feedback, which includes the following stages: a) measurement of item position, b) measurement of induction current in inductors, c) measurement of induction current in additional coils, d) effect on induction current in additional coils depending on the parameters measured at stages a)-c), for retention of item in the middle of guiding channel, at that additional coils are installed within the limits of inductors length. Device contains capacity with melt and upstream guiding channel, in the field of which on both sides of item inductors are installed, and at least two additional coils installed on both sides of item for creation of electromagnetic field, which is superimposed on inductors electromagnetic field, for stabilisation of metal item position in the middle of guiding channel. Also device contains facilities that provide measurement of parameters of item position in guiding channel, induction current in inductors and induction current in additional coils and regulation device that is adjusted for control of induction current in additional coils depending on measured parameters.
EFFECT: improves efficiency and retention of metal item in the middle of guiding channel.
