FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cooled sectional piston for internal combustion engine consists of upper and lower parts interconnected by turning in threaded pin on upper part of piston into threaded hole in lower part of piston. Threaded hole is arranged on section of lower part of piston made thin-walled so that after screwing both parts together piston is capable of flexibly deforming like plate spring thanks to which no additional locking devices, such as locknuts, should be used for locking upper and lower parts of piston screwed together.
EFFECT: improved operating capabilities.
