FIELD: electrical power engineering, in particular, helical-shaped suspension clamps for fastening of optical self-carrier communication cables on support of air power lines.
SUBSTANCE: the clamp is made in the form of a helical protector and a strand of power wire spirals. The protector and the strand are completely coated by a special plastic (polyvinylidene chloride or polyethylene) and wound on the cable so that their helical turns would not touch one another. The length of the protector (Lprotector)is selected from the dependence of the length of the strand (Lstrand) from relation: Lprotector /Lstrand = 0.3÷1.1. The strand loop is fixed by the clamp and inserted in the trough of the suspension that is made in the form of a Ω-shaped profile or in the form of a disk.
EFFECT: simple in manufacture and reliable in service: characterized by low manufacture expenditures, doesn't injure the cable sheath and can be reused after the primary dismantling.
