METHOD FOR TREATING HERNIAL SAC IN CASE OF OBLIQUE INGUINAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/00

SUBSTANCE: the innovation includes anterior access to inguinal canal, one should isolate inguinal ligament, spermatic funiculus and internal oblique muscle of abdomen, dissect the membranes of spermatic funiculus and the walls of hernial sac at applying crimping sutures onto the wall of hernial sac. Dissection of the membranes of spermatic funiculus and the wall of hernial sac should be fulfilled at the length from the top up to the cervix of the latter. Crimping of hernial sac's wall should be carried out due to applying single interrupted transverse sutures along its whole log at suturing the edges of dissected membranes of spermatic funiculus and the wall of hernial sac from one edge up to another one. The cervix of hernial sac should be additionally fixed in tissues due to guiding both ends of the most proximal crimping suture from inside outwards through transverse fascia., transverse muscle and internal oblique muscle of abdomen with subsequent binding. The distance between crimping sutures corresponds to 1-1.5 cm. The innovation enables to prevent post-surgical complications.
